Options:
MEMORY GAME: print one copy of the images from this flashcard and one copy of the images with words from the flashcard with the possible verbs that the students can use:
Dices game – Verbs 1 (words and phrases).pdf
Make students match the images with their descriptions.
MAKING SENTENCES GAME: print one copy of the images from this flashcard and cut along the solid lines in order to make cards. In turns, students from different groups have to make sentences. Each correct sentence worths 1 point and you can set a time to make them. For ex: students have 1 minute to make a sentence. There is a wild card with one extra point. See the flashcard with words and phrases for more examples:

CONJUGATION OF VERBS GAME: You can ask your students in different groups to take a card and make a sentence using a particular verb tense or mixing them in the game. For ex: Tonight I’ll play the guitar / Yesterday played the guitar at the club, etc. See the flashcard with words and phrases for more examples:

Haz que los estudiantes unan las imágenes con las descripciones.
JUEGO DE ARMAR ORACIONES: imprime una copia de las imágenes de esta tarjeta didáctica y corta por las líneas sólidas para hacer tarjetas. Por turnos, los estudiantes de diferentes grupos tienen que armar oraciones. Cada oración correcta vale un punto y puedes determinar un tiempo para hacerlas. Por ej: los estudiantes tienen un minuto para hacer una oración. Hay un comodín con un punto extra. (Para más ejemplos vea la tarjeta didáctica con palabras y frases:

GIOCO PER COSTRUIRE DELLE FRASI: stampare una copia delle immagini di questa scheda didattica e tagliare per le linee solide per fare delle carte. A turno, gli studenti di diversi gruppi devono costruire delle frasi. Ogni frasi corrette vale un punto e si può determinare un tempo per farle. Per es.: gli studenti hanno un minuto per fare un una frase. C’è un carattere jolly con un punto in più. (per più esempi vedere la scheda didattica con parole e frasi.
CONIUGAZIONE VERBALE: Puoi chiedere a studenti di differenti gruppi cava una ficha e fa un discorso usando un tempo verbale in particolare o mescolando li nel gioco. Per esempio: Tonight I’ll play the guitar / Yesterday I played the guitar at the club, ecc.

“Crossing over” film worksheet

These are easy activities for beginners. The goal of this worksheet is to work with metalinguistic and cultural aspects of English in the context of this film rather than grammar contents. Students should watch the movie in English with subtitles although the last exercise is meant to be written in Spanish. I should invite students to reflect on the situation of the immigration in the U.S.A., for example through the expression “the American dream”. You can add topics as human rights, the (unfair) treatment of one person or group, because of prejudice about ethnicity, race, age, religion, gender, belief, negative discrimination.

L’obiettivo di questo foglio di lavoro è riflessionare sulle funzioni culturali e metalinguistiche dell’inglese nel contesto di questa pellicola, piuttosto che di grammatica.
